GIUSY WINE CONSULTANCY
Giusy hails from Calabria, Southern Italy and is one of the few people in London with both a WSET Diploma and an AIS Level 3 Certificate. Having completed her Degree in Languages and Modern Literature in Sicily, she moved to London where she approached the world of wines. She worked as a brand manager at a wine brokerage company and she experienced a harvest in Marlborough in New Zealand, because she was fascinated by New World Wines and she wanted to compare different winemaking practices.
Afterwards she worked at Armit Wines as account manager where she looked after many of London’s finest Italian restaurants while also writing for the prestigious Italian magazine ‘Il Corriere Vinicolo’.
Later she moved to an Italian specialist importer where she was in charge of creating the Italian wine portfolio. Today she divides her time between selling Italian wines worldwide and her love for writing. She is currently a freelancer, international wine broker and portfolio manager. She is also a brand ambassador for several Italian wineries and a communication consultant. She writes her blog and she extensively travels to discover new wines to write about. She is particularly fond of promoting Calabrian wines and in her spare time, she can be found in the kitchen cooking Calabrian dishes for her friends.
She can deliver masterclasses in English, Italian and French using PowerPoint Presentations when needed and wine and food matching tastings.
