"We have attended wine-tasting sessions led by Tor over a period of several years and have always enjoyed them immensely and learned a lot too. Most recently in the winter of 2021 she led a virtual tasting on Zoom for a group in rural Dorset from her (temporary) home in America. This was a total triumph. The planning was immaculate, with canapés designed for each of the wines, and tasting notes and guidance for the participants. Those taking part commented that Tor is very knowledgeable but presents a lot of information in a very accessible way. ‘She really knows her stuff’ was a common reflection, together with ‘It was a great evening’. People are still talking about it, months later.
Tor is an excellent presenter, combining excellent knowledge and experience with a charming presentational style. She is able to relate to her audience and to teach as well as entertain. The effect is to make all the participants feel valued, whether wine buffs or casual drinkers They are all ready to join in discussion – and at the end, feel well-informed and pleasantly mellow "
