“Just wanted to thank you for a really terrific talk about Portuguese wines last night. I think we must have had about 60 members there and we all enjoyed it very much, and appreciated all your detailed knowledge of the wines" - Jenny Aplin

Ken Sheather Wines
Winning the International Wine Challenge Specialist Merchant Award for Portugal in 2010 plus a number of awards from ViniPortugal, Ken has built an enviable reputation over the last 25 years for giving informative and enjoyable talks and tastings. Ken’s enthusiasm for Portuguese wine stems from meeting a Portuguese couple at a bus stop in Madeira in 1978 – but that’s another story – and, appropriately, gave rise to Ken’s strapline – ‘Every bottle tells a story’ or, (as they say in Portuguese) ‘Cada garrafa tem uma historia’
Matching wine with food is Ken’s speciality, whether advising restaurants and pubs or helping customers select the perfect wine for a celebratory meal. In conjunction with Ken’s wife, Sharon, the couple have introduced ‘Wine with Food Tastings – Petiscos (Tapas) – these have proved very popular with small groups of friends getting together (minimum 10) to large corporate and community groups / clubs (no maximum).
Ken is always keen to tailor the advice, talk and tasting to the customer’s specific requirements, so whether you want to choose the theme, such as, a ‘White Wine with cheese’ tasting, ‘Supermarket Wines’ or a ‘Taste of……. Australia, Alsace or Argentina’, or need advice on matching wine to particular food for a special meal, Ken can draw from his extensive knowledge of wines throughout the world, to help you.
